New spare press block

Our first step is to deliver a replacement spare press block, which makes it possible to use the new and the original press block units alternately. When switching becomes a routine, it can be done in just one working day, potentially saving several days of production each time. Changing the press block is much faster than overhauling the parts on site – this method means around one day of stoppage, whereas overhauling takes about one week.

Block testing

The new spare block comes fully tested and with the latest Metso technology, including flexible joints on the side press plates, new sealing solutions, etc. We recommend that the change of press block be supervised by a Metso expert to ensure an efficient and trouble-free switch.

Overhaul

After the press block units have been switched, it is possible to carry out the overhaul when convenient, without disturbing production. An even better alternative is to send the unit back to our facility for a complete professional overhaul.
